Another Packed House

I'm almost sure there were some fire codes being violated at the Opening Bell Coffee House in the South Lamar District. People were there to hear some friends of mine Callie Nixon, and Ryan Edgar. Callie was playing along with Thomas Bain. Seth Jones also performed. He even covered a Whitney Houston song. Can't say that's been done before but I loved it. Yes I loved a guy singing Whitney Houston (I Wanna Dance With Somebody).

So.....
I'm guessing the consensus at the venue is Callie needs to sing at these types of things more and, I've come to the conclusion that I might jut be officially a Ryan Edgar groupie. Hmmmm....Three shows back to back to back, pretty much, and here I am.

Here are the pics....

Paige & Brent

This weekend's weather was absolutely gorgeous. So when Paige & Brent suggested that they shoot their engagements at a family member's house and not in and around Downtown Austin I have to admit I was completely bummed. You never know what sittings are going to be like at the client's house. But all I have to say is holy cow! The house looked like it was strait out of a home architecture magazine. So needless to say the shoot turned out to be a fantastic one. Here are a couple of my faves. Leave me your thoughts.

Legend In the Making

It's always an amazing experience when listening to Ryan Edgar sing. His words have feeling and the music is very much an added emotional experience as well. It's only a matter of short time before you see him up on the charts. I'm sure! Go on over and visit his page and give his work a listen. His new album comes out soon! Stay tuned. These are a few pics from his set at Knox Street Pub - Dallas

Allison & Jordan

Yet another chance to assist and shoot along side the fab duo of JP and Crystal - JP Beato Photography. Allison & Jordan's special day was truly event filled with plenty of opportunities to make great wedding day photos. You could tell they were made for each other. The dance lessons helped as well :D. Here is my view of their first dance grand finale. I love the spirit fingers.

Untill next time..

Clapy Hands Hat!

Man do I need to get one of those clappy hands hats that you'd probably find at the gag store! It turns out that it gets you smiling. At least it worked on us when the guy at Pete's snapped one of us. But of course not before yanking on a string to get those hand a-clappin'. Too funny! I'm sure I need to give him a photo credit so I guess I'll call him Clapy Hands for now 'till I find out his real name. I hope no hard feelings Clapy Hands Dude.

Cool new (to me) location!

What a fantastic location for engagements and bridal portraits for sure. There were tons of things to do with place if you want to exhaust yourself. A popular place in Las Colinas - Irving, TX near William's Square and I'm sure am glad I found it finally. Well asked Stacy Reeves over at Mist Photography she had a series of photos in near here. Thanks Stacy! Huge help!
